The Asia Cup 2025 cricket tournament, scheduled in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 and 28, will see eight top nations from the continent battle it out for the title. Organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), this will be the 17th edition of the tournament and will be played in the T20I format. In terms of the number of teams, this is the biggest Asia Cup in history. The 2023 edition featured six countries.
Eight teams will compete in the competition. The United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Hong Kong—the teams that placed in the top three of the 2024 ACC Men's Premier Cup—will join the five full members of the Asian Cricket Council, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, who automatically qualified for the competition.
